Visiting Family in Idaho

Our trip to Idaho went really fast.  Our trip was 9 days long and it flew by.  While we were home, we didn't do anything major, but that's why it was so nice.  We just did what we would have done if we were actually living in Idaho.  Our mornings were pretty laid back.  My mom was amazing and let me sleep in every day.  Naomi would wake up between 7-8.  My mom would come get her and I would get to sleep another hour.  Then in the evenings we were either watching Braydn play volleyball, Blake play football, or visiting Grandma and Grandpa Rhodehouse. We were home right in time for little Kapri's baby blessing.  It was great because I was able to see all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins on the Kunz side.  Then we were able to visit Grandma and Grandpa Bartschi.  My grandma surprised me with beautiful boy blankets, hats, and booties that she crocheted. It got me really excited for our little boy to arrive.

 When we first got home, my mom and dad spoiled Naomi with some gifts.  They got her a couple of coats and a hat for the cold weather.  Then they surprised her with her very own princess couch.  It's kind of funny how that worked out.  Brock (Naomi's cousin) has a Spiderman couch at his house.  Every time we go over to visit them Naomi runs to that couch and sits on it like she is the queen. It is one of her favorite things at their house.  I had decided that we should get Naomi one of her own couches for Christmas this year, but I never said anything about it to my mom or dad.  When we got home they brought out the couch and Naomi was in heaven!!  My mom put a blanket over Mimi when she sat down, but she removed it immediately because she couldn't see her princesses.  It was really cute!   

 We tried on her new coat and hat and it fit great.  And the very first thing she went to were the plate of decorative rocks on the table in the living room.  She has always been attracted to those things. 

She is so in love with her couch.

 Bray Bray had a tournament at Bonneville over the weekend.  We spent Friday night and all day Saturday in a gym watching her play.

 Mimi loved being with her Aunt Bray Bray.  Naomi was her little mini me.  They did everything together.  During Braydn's break between games, these two watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the iPad.  What a good aunt!

 She fell asleep while we were in the gym all day on Saturday.  She had the privilege of sleeping in between the bleachers.

 She LOVES her kitty and puppy.  Boots was nice enough to tolerate her loud squeals.  Bell, on the other hand, hid from her.  You can barely see her black and white fur huddled tightly in her cubby hole.

 Brady and Christa made a surprise visit up to Idaho right when we were there.  It was really fun to see them and be together.  Mimi and Alayna loved playing with Jersey. 

 Grandpa tried to put Mimi on Jersey so she could ride her.  Neither of them liked it, but it was really funny for the rest of us!

 Grandma got this little red chair at the beginning of summer and it is the perfect size for the grand kids.  Mimi sat in this chair a lot during the summer, and she went right to it when she saw it. 

 They each got their very own mini pumpkins.  How cute!

 Mimi, Poppa, and Nanna had a nightly ritual while we were visiting.  Every night she would snuggle in bed or on the couch with them and they would watch a movie together.  

 She got to talk with daddy on Skype.  She kept holding up the phone to her ear and talking to him even though she could see him on the iPad.  It was really cute and funny.

 One of the last things we did while in Idaho was visit a pumpkin patch in Idaho Falls.  We found Grandma a few pumpkins to take home, and the girls were able to ride on a little train around the pumpkin patch.  It was a fun thing to do with the kids.

It was an amazing trip.  We both needed the extra tender, love, and care (TLC) from our families.  I had a rough time when we first moved to Iowa.  This trip rejuvenated me, and I think I can handle being away until Christmas.  It was just too overwhelming for me to leave in August and not plan on being home again until December.  I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to make it home and I didn't have to wait until Christmas.
