Gratitude Day 27: Family Traditions

I am grateful for family traditions.  It's been fun mixing family traditions together out here in Des Moines.  For our Thanksgiving Dinner we are doing a combination of what my family, Kate's family, and Bryce's family does.  Along with there being pies for dessert, my mom always makes Chocolate Layer Dessert.  And we have cheese cake as another form of dessert.  It's just not the same without those two.  So I made both of those.  Then I'm in charge of stuffing, so I am going to try out my grandma's recipe.  I know it won't be nearly as good as hers, but hopefully it tastes okay.  I miss being home with both sets of family, but I am grateful we can be out here together as a family.
